Also on Oprah, Gerry stating that at 9:00 all tapas members were at the table when Matt went to check on his child. The previous story was that Matt left to hurry up the Payne's and that he checked all 3 apartments (5A, 5B, and 5D all shutters down).
Gerry stating that Jane saw him talking to Jez when she went to check on her children and KNEW that Gerry had already conducted his check. However, she could not have known this unless she saw him exiting the apartment. If there were any true suspicions of bundleman at the time she would have notified Gerry straight away since she would not have known whether or not he had checked on the children.
When describing her check, Kate states that initially she did not go into the room, she just listened, but then noticed that the door was more open than it had been left. She went to close the door back to 5 degrees but it slammed shut. (She was not the last to see the kids, so would not know how the door had been left). She wondered why the door slammed because the patio door was closed. (The patio door being open would not slam the door shut, but would open the door further as she found it). She then states that after the door slammed, she opened the door again and noticed Madeleine missing. She then walks into the bedroom, not noticing the draft or the curtains blowing, and cannot find Madeleine, so she decides to go look in her bedroom. It is not until returning from her bedroom that she notices the curtains blowing, window wide open. (She should have noticed the the window open and curtains blowing the first time she entered the room, not only after returning from her bedroom.)
