We inform you that we tried to find out from our client Galpgest if they had recordings of images from the period referred to by you, having been informed that they have recordings of images captured between 11.0 and 11.36 on 04-05-2007 from the Service Station in the Portimão-Lagos direction. As this short period does not correspond to your request, we would be grateful if you would inform us if you require us to obtain these images from our client, which we would do as quickly as possible.

Description and Result of Inquiry:



As a result of the attached fax, we went to Lagos, to Rua Regimento do Infantario n| 4 and not to Artilharia 4, specified in the fax as that address does not exist.

Upon our arrival we located the building, situated at lot 124, an urban residential site, composed of a ground floor, first floor and underground garage.

When we approached the house nobody appeared at the door and we later found out from neighbours that the house was the property of a Swiss citizen, a resident of Estoril, Lisbon, named Cristiano and married to D. Manuela, a couple who adopted an orphaned girl several years ago and who was now aged 14.

The individual who is retired and aged about 60 rents the house out through an estate agency during the summer period.

The house is composed of 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, 2 WC, living room, garage and swimming pool and is fully furnished.

With regard to the occupation of the house during the months of April and May of this year, we were told that the house was closed and had been unoccupied and no use of the house for personal or criminal purposes was reported.

Description and Results of Inquiry:


With the aim of checking the veracity of information received today by DIC Portimao at 15.00, which raised the possibility that Madeleine was at a farm in Aljezur, owned by a German couple, we contacted Nelson Gil Domingues, the “informant” in question and went to the farm.

We noted that indeed a young girl was living there but that she is the daughter of P. and R. Kress, owners of the property. The entire property known as Casa do Tramelo, was searched, nothing abnormal having been found.
