To the Prosecutor,


I come to present a request. I am Keith Pool news editor for the Daily Mail in England which has covered the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

I have learned that the judicial secrecy surrounding the case has been lifted and that it is possible for us to consult the case files.

For this reason I am writing to you, requesting authorisation so that one of my journalists Vanessa Allen can consult the full case with the collaboration of the interpreter Gaynor de Jesus at the earliest opportunity.

I would like confirmation in writing. I annex a duplicate of this letter and a paid stamped envelope for this purpose.

I would also request any advice you could give me concerning when it would be possible and probable for Vanessa Allen to return to Portugal.
