Gerry and Kate McCann

Kate and Gerry McCann will take part in a reconstruction of the night Madeleine went missing.

The couple, 40, of Rothley, Leics, will join the May 29 event at the request of Portuguese cops.

But their Portuguese lawyer Rogerio Alves said they were "sceptical" over its benefits. And a court has said case files due to be made public this week will stay shut until August.
