Missing...Madeleine McCann

A BRIT who reported seeing Madeleine McCann at a campsite in France was IGNORED by Portuguese cops searching for the missing girl.

Tourist Jane Blakie said she was stared at by a girl who was "the spitting image" of Maddie.

She added: "The look in the girl's eyes conveyed a feeling of 'Help me'."

Mrs Blakie's son backed up her account.

His description of a couple with the girl matched one given by a woman who had earlier reported seeing Maddie in Holland.

The sighting in Alsace in July 2008 was passed to Portuguese cops, but newly-released files show no action was taken.

Maddie, from Rothley, Leics, vanished from an Algarve holiday flat days before her fourth birthday in May 2007.
