Running for Madeleine: Kate and Gerry McCann to join 10k in Hyde Park for Missing People charity

3:00pm Friday 12th March 2010

Kate and Gerry McCann, whose daughter Madeleine went missing in 2007, will take part in a Hyde Park run tomorrow to support an East Sheen charity.

The couple will join 500 runners to complete a 10km course to raise funds for Missing People, a charity which supports missing children and their families.

Kate said: “I’m running for all missing children.

“Gerry and I know the pain that having Madeleine missing has caused us, but sadly we are not alone.”

Rachel Elias, the sister of former Manic Street Preacher guitarist Richey Edwards who disappeared in 1995, will also take part in the Miles for Missing People run, which is sponsored by Friends Reunited.
