A paedophile has given a death-bed confession claiming he know what happened to missing UK girl Madeleine McCann
Raymond Hewlett, who was suspected in being involved in Madeleine's disappearance, claimed she was stolen to order by a gypsy gang, according to the Daily Mail.
Hewlett, who has a record of raping and abducting children, previously claimed to have seen Madeleine twice before she vanished in 2007.
The claims were in a letter Hewlett sent to his estranged son before he died in April, which The Sun newspaper later found out about.
Private detectives are said to be "extremely interested" in the claims.
